The daughter of successful painter Kim began drawing at an early age, using her eye for detail in an unusual way. At 14 she entered a competition sponsored by Habitat for the best painting on an egg and won first prize. Her decorated goose eggs went on to be shown in the Victoria and Albert Museum and Kim was commissioned to paint eggs for both Harrods and Liberty's of London. She attended Harrow School of Art where she attained a Degree in Illustration. After a brief career as a children's book illustrator, Kim went into graphic design, becoming an Art Director for two of the most prominent publishing houses in London. In 2002 she moved to St Ives where she and her husband own a gallery. Kim continues to draw in her highly detailed way, whether on paper or on goose eggs, to produce her charming and unique pieces of work. Naive in style, these are uplifting, unpretentious and happy images which, nevertheless, require great attention to detail and painstaking skill.
